Valencia has a big gay community which is still growing every day! The city is friendly and open-minded, people of all kinds are welcome. You can find the rainbow flag almost everywhere! Ruzafa and El Carmen are two very gay friendly neighbourhoods in Valencia. There you will find a lot of bars to hang out and meet new people during the day and also some nice clubs if you like to party until early morning.


One of the most popular gay bars in Valencia is The Muse. Because of the good music, a super diverse audience, a nice atmosphere and the cheap drinks (shots for one euro or a caña (draft beer) for € 1.50). In front of The Muse they often hand out flyers with which you have a advantageous entrance until 2.30 at Deseo 54, the most popular gay club in Valencia! Therefore The Muse is the perfect place to start your night!

Most gay bars in Valencia are aimed at men, however in Planet Valencia in Ruzafa you can find mainly women. The bar has a very relaxed atmosphere and positive energy. Have a ‘copa’ (a drink) or try one of the delicious cocktails for a small price!

Bubu is a popular pub nearby the Botanical gardens and is usually packed with bears! The pub has a nice atmosphere, a crowded bar and very friendly staff! Do you like to dress up once in a while? Bubu often organizes events and themed parties. Check their Facebook page for latest updates.

The biggest gay club of Valencia is Deseo 54. Every weekend the roof is on fire! Enjoy a themed party, a famous DJ performance or just dance the night away on one of the two dance floors. This place is always fun! The music is mainly pop and commercial in one of the rooms and international house in the other room.
Tip! There are very often people handing out discount tickets in front of the club. If you enter Deseo 54 with the ticket before 02.30, you will pay less or nothing at all!

Pub Dakota

Pub Dakota just opened its doors in 2017 and is from the same owner as Deseo 54 nightclub, so fors ure you will have a good time here! Are you a lover of music from the last two decades, then Pub Dakota is the right spot for you. The audience mainly consist of super friendly bears who are happy to have a nice conversation.

Completely in LGTB style is Picadilly Downtown Club. The place is packed with open-minded people only. Whether you like indie vibes, techno, pop or petardeo, you can find every kind of music style in this club! If you reach the second floor of Picadilly, you can experience a silent disco! Would you like to have a laugh? Take off your headphones! Every once in a while they also like to throw a gay friendly party. The dresscode? The crazier the better!

Piccadilly Downtown Club


Valencia has some beautiful beaches. Besides the popular beaches Las Arenas, Malvarossa and Playa Patacona, there is this beach called Platja de L’Arbre del Gos. You can find it a few miles outside the city, in between El Saler and Pinedo. This wonderful and clean place – it’s well-known for its safety as well – is popular within the gay community. You can find the beach behind the dunes, next to an abandoned factory. How to reach this beautiful beach? Rent one of our high-quality Dutch bikes. It’s only a thirty minute ride to Platja de L’Arbre del Gos! Or take bus 14 and get off at ‘Pinedo’.


At the end of June, the streets of Valencia will be filled with rainbow colours! It’s time for the Valencia Gay Pride Parade! The LGTB Pride Festival usually has lots of color and music, a perfect way to end your day dancing at Plaza Ayuntamiento! Besides the parade and the festival right after that, many events will be organized during the months of May and June. What to think of a film festival with special movies and short videos. Also a lot of bars and clubs in Valencia will host some kind of special event concerning the Gay Pride.
