Port Saplaya

Very near to Valencia you can find a small harbour village called Port Saplaya. It’s often called ‘Little Venice’, because of the coloured buildings, small boats and picturesque harbour. This is a good place to visit if you like a calm but beautiful environment. Good to know: from the centre of Valencia it’s is only 40 minutes by bike to Port Saplaya!

Port Saplaya is a neighbourhood that belongs to Alboraya. It’s not a large city but definitely worth a visit. A lot of activities are offered in this village, mostly during summer, like an outside cinema and surf classes. Are you staying in Valencia and curious to this coastal city? From Patacona beach you can walk to Port Saplaya in only 35 minutes! You rather go there by bike? Rent a bike and cycle from Ruzafa all the way to Little Venice.

Take a swim!

Port Saplaya has two different beaches that are separated by the entrance of the harbour. Those two beaches are Puerto Saplaya Sur and Puerto Saplaya Norte. Both beaches are accessible for visitors.

Don’t you like to swim in the sea but do you want to cool down during the warm days? Port Saplaya offers a swimming pool right next to the beach and it’s called Pool Beach Port Saplaya. This is a beach club that offers more than only the 25 meters long swimming pool. There are multi-sport courts, aqua gym classes, a solarium and a terrace with a bar and restaurant. Enough to make your stay in Port Saplaya really comfortable!

Learn how to sail

Luckily for the sea lovers Port Saplaya has its own sailing school. The school is called Port Saplaya Nautical Club and offers sailing classes. You don’t like sailing? They also rent out kayaks!
